APPLE PIE MILKSHAKES & A BLENDTEC GIVEAWAY!

There’s nothing quite like two incredible desserts merged into one. I mean, who doesn’t love a nice piece of fresh apple pie? Or a cold & creamy milkshake? Put those two together and it’s a win! I had one at Johnny Rockets and it was magical- I knew then I’d have to recreate the masterpiece at home. It’s easy to whip one of these up and it tastes just like apple pie. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 21- oz can apple pie filling
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 6-8 scoops vanilla bean ice cream
  • 1 cup Nilla wafers
  • 1-2 TBSP milk optional

Instructions

  1. Put about 2/3 of the can of apple pie filling into the blender. Add spices and about 5-6 scoops of ice cream. Depending on your blender, you may have to add a tablespoon or two of milk. (Less milk or no milk yields thicker milkshakes.) Blend for about 30 seconds, until mixture is smooth. Add in 1-2 more scoops of ice cream, the Nilla wafers and all but 4 slices of the apple pie filling. Pulse a few times, just until everything looks fairly incorporated. You want to have small chunks of apples and Nilla wafers. Top with extra cream, a dash of nutmeg or cinnamon and the remaining slices of apple.
