CHEESY RANCH BREADSTICKS
Guys, here’s something (not so) shocking: I love bread. All kinds of bread. Cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, pizza dough… and breadsticks. I especially love breadsticks when they’re covered with cheese. Up until I started blogging, the only bread or cinnamon rolls I ever had were either from a can or from the store. I’d never used yeast to make bread from scratch; I was super intimidated by it. One day, I took the leap and made homemade cinnamon rolls. I was shocked at how easy it was to use yeast and get a wonderful result – at home, from scratch.
It’s been awhile since I made anything with yeast on the blog, so I thought it was time to get back in the game. Cheesy breadsticks are great all year long, but more so as we head into game and soup season.
I decided to amp up my cheesy breadstick game with this recipe though. Instead of plain old garlic, I turned these breadsticks into Cheesy RANCH Breadsticks. At first bite, I think I heard angels.
When the days grow shorter, the air gets cooler and the leaves get a little prettier, my family loves to build a good bonfire. It’s our favorite way to chill out and spend some un-plugged family time together. But before we build a fire, first we fill our bellies with some good, warm food. Our standard family meal in the cooler months is usually soup or stew, which is a great way to feed a crowd. Ingredients:
- 1 batch no-knead pizza dough or store bought dough
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1-2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
- 1 tablespoon parmesan
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Gently roll out the pizza dough into a rough rectangle and cut into 8 sticks. Combine the melted butter and garlic together and generously brush onto the breadsticks. Evenly divide the shredded cheddar and parmesan.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melty and the breadsticks are golden brown. Enjoy warm with pizza and ranch sauce!
